Best Cordless Phones Review

Our experience with Uniden telephones has been more variable than with most other brands. For example we have always found Uniden's 2 line cordless phones to be consistently excellent. In our view they set the benchmark for 2 line cordless phones long ago. Uniden 5.8 GHz phones such as the TRU8866 with TCX905 accessory handsets were brilliant. In many ways they were better than the DECT 6.0 phones that superseded them.

We felt that the company may have lost direction for a while as it transitioned the Uniden telephone range across to DECT 6.0 technology. Others, most notably Vtech and Panasonic seemed to get their act together more quickly and release top rated cordless phones long before Uniden.

We were similarly surprised at how long it took Uniden to bring out a credible Bluetooth cordless phone that could compete with Panasonic, Vtech and ATT alternatives.

Having checked out the latest Uniden cordless phones, we have the firm impression that Uniden is back on track. We have found some seriously impressive phones that are destined to join the ranks of the best cordless phones.

For consumers who require an inexpensive phone that does all the basics with style the D1660 and D1680 are excellent value for money.

Hearing Impaired Telephones

The Uniden Ezi2997 is one of the more attractive phones suitable for use by those with a mild to moderate hearing impairment. It also has bigger buttons than most making it ideal for the elderly or anyone with arthritic fingers.

Waterproof Cordless Phones

Uniden has "owned" the waterproof phone market for as long as we can remember and it continues to do so.

2 Line Phones

Every cordless phone manufacturer has now released one or more 2 line cordless phones. It's become a highly competitive niche. In our opinion Panasonic leads the pack, but the Uniden DECT4000 range is not far behind.

Bluetooth Cordless Phones

Finally, a serious contender from Uniden! The Uniden D3288 has more of everything than the competition. For a start it can simultaneously link with up to 4 cell phones. Download contacts from cell phones? No problem the D3288 has room for 6,000 of them. If cordless phone range is a concern add one or more optional range extenders to achieve enormous coverage. This is a seriously impressive phone.

The latest generation of Uniden telephones are highly competitive. They offer excellent features and functionality with heaps of style.
